Its purpose is to answer the need to inform and disseminate the culture and respect for the rights of homosexual and transexual persons in Italian country.Currently members are about 80 lawyers and practitioners distributed about 21 districts. In particular it promotes the formation of a Network of lawyers throughout the country which deal with the legal protection of homosexuals.

The LGBT Lawyers’ Association of Ireland is an educational, advisory and advocacy group made up of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender (LGBT) and allied lawyers and students in Ireland. Our aim is to create awareness of the legal issues affecting the LGBT community, to combat discrimination and to advocate for equality. The Association was founded to:
- Raise awareness of the legal issues affecting the LGBT community
- Increase the visibility of LGBT lawyers within the profession
- To provide support to lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender lawyers and students
- To facilitate legal research and support other LGBT rights organisations

The LGBT Free Legal Advice Centre welcomes attendance by members of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community who require advice on LGBT legal issues. This service is provided free of charge on the first Tuesday of every month from 7pm -8:30pm in Outhouse on Capel Street, Dublin 1.
Lesbian and Gay Legal Network (LGLN)
The Lesbian and Gay Legal Network is an initiative of the LGBT Lawyers’ Association of Ireland. The LGLN is a network of solicitors and barristers who have indicated their willingness to provide pro bono advice and representation including court advocacy, to members of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community in Ireland who have experienced discrimination on account of their gender identity, expression or sexual orientation. This network is a referral service designed to match expertise in the legal profession with the needs of persons who have experienced discrimination on account of their LGBT status in order to facilitate public interest litigation.
Conferences & Events
The Association will host a number of conferences and events to promote debate on legal issues relevant to the LGBT community. Notice of these events will be placed on this website as they arise. We encourage members and friends of the association to sign up to our mailing list to receive notification of events.
