LGL
National non-governmental organization Lithuanian Gay League (LGL) founded in 1993 is an advocacy organization dedicated to fighting homophobia and discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity in Lithuania. One of the recent significant projects successfully implemented by LGL is the first ever Pride event in Lithuania – Baltic Pride Vilnius 2010 which took place in Vilnius on 8th May. General activity fields of organization are: advocacy for human rights and equal opportunities; promoting diversity in employment; social inclusion and family rights. LGL is one of the Partner Organizations in EQUAL JUS project. More information in English about LGL can be found here.

EDUARDAS PLATOVAS, National Coordinator
A former journalist Eduardas Platovas holds a Project Coordinator position at LGL since its foundation in 1993. Long time experience helped him to gain a strong background and skills in working on LGBT rights in Lithuania and shows his great commitment to human rights in general. General activities of Eduardas in the EQUAL JUS project involves: coordination of project activities and general project administration in the country, including financial reporting and general reporting on project implementation.
LINAS JUOZULYNAS, Legal Researcher
Linas Juozulynas is a present PhD student of Constitutional law at Vilnius University and works as a Judge Assistant since 2006. PhD studies helped him to gain strong research skills. Linas activities in the project includes: coordination of scientific activities (monitoring, legal database, overall legal activities etc.) within the project in the country; coordination of networking activities; preparation of publications.
SIGITA RUKSENAITE, Junior Expert
Sigita Ruksenaite is a present MA student in International Human Rights Defence Law and works as a Project Administrator in LGL since 2009. As a Junior Expert in the project Sigita is involved in scientific activities such as general assistance and consulting on legal materials; data collection for legal database; communication.
